Letters to the Members

On behalf of the Board of Directors, its committees and Kinston Country Club (KCC) staff, I would like membership to understand we are maintaining our charge to ensure that Kinston Country Club remains a cornerstone of our community. We continue to work determinedly to sustain KCC as a safe and enriching environment where member families can spend quality time with one another.

Employees Step up to the Plate…

Please join me in congratulating both Joan Bradshaw and Dean Baker in their newly expanded roles at Kinston Country Club.

• As a 23 year employee of KCC, Joan Bradshaw will now be acting as House Manager. Her duties will include being the point person for membership as it relates to all activities in the House.
• As an 18 year employee of KCC, Dean Baker will now be serving as Operations Manger. His expanded duties will include coordinating and managing all building and grounds matters as they relate to the clubhouse, golf, tennis and pool facilities including maintenance.
• Joan, Dean, Mark, Carl, Troy and staff are willing and eager to make certain your total Club experience is worth the trip every time! I would like to personally commend the staff on their team approach to getting the job done. Thank you!

House and Entertainment Committee “Making Moves” Spurs Participation/Usage..

·         Please take a moment to coordinate your SOCIAL calendar with the enclosed schedule of events surrounding the Club in September/October 2010. Let’s make KCC a social destination!

·         H &E recommends and Board passes lower prices on Gatorade, beer and water and eliminates service charges in Golf and Tennis “self-serve” facilities.

Pool Season has been Exxxxtended…

·         The pool will remain open through the month of September – weekends only.

·         The hours of operation will be 10:00am to 7:00pm – Saturday and Sunday.

Non-Voting Preferred Stock working on minimum milestone…

As of August 25, 2010, membership has raised $370,000 (74% of minimum goal). While we are encouraged by the opening, it will take a full membership support to achieve success. As we continue to work towards our goal of $900,000, we urge membership to help us reach the minimum milestone of $500,000 by September 15^th. This capital infusion is vital to maintaining our Club’s financial health, and we ask for your support!
